About Marsden Library

Marsden Library opened in parkland on Chambers Flat Road, 25 September 2006. The previous library was inside the adjacent Marsden Park Shopping Centre from 1992 - 2006. This library serves a growing local community of over 40,000 people.

The Sensory Space at Marsden Library stimulates and inspires children to explore and learn using their senses. A State Library of Queensland Vision 2017 Grant assisted the funding of equipment and resources.

There is also a bookable sensory room available for people of all ages and abilities. You can use our free sensory equipment in this room. Our friendly library team can assist with booking the room and showing you the equipment.

Marsden Library has a sensory friendly map and story about visiting the library. This is a visual and written guide. It will help you prepare for your visit and what to expect.
