Paxton Farm, a pacifist commune in Logan
During World War II, a group of Quaker pacifists sought to promote peace and avoid conscription. They purchased land on the east side of Logan Road, Springwood, and established Paxton Commune. They thrived until 1952. Locals might recall the 'Paxton Service Station' and the 'Chicken Pie Shop'. Presented by Dr William (Bill) J. Metcalf.
