	Standards Online Public Library (SAI Global) * is available from your local Logan City Council Library free of charge. In-library access to over 7,700 national Australian Standards. Please note that due to copyright regulations no more than 10% of the Standard may be printed or downloaded. Also note that Standards can only be printed or downloaded one page at a time.

Computer Tutorials

	Computer Skills Index contains hundreds of comprehensive computer training tutorials, with more continually being added. Tutorials include full colour, easy-to-follow screen-shots with step-by-step instructions covering an extensive and varied range of “How do I ?” learning topics. The Computer Skills courses include computer basics and keyboard shortcuts, as well as Internet use, research, safety and specific software tools. Log in with the password loganskills, then press Submit.
	Developed in Australia, Dynamic Learning Online’s website provides powerful, yet simple, online interactive training for users to understand and quickly master new Microsoft products such as Office 2007 and Windows Vista . It also includes Introductory Computer Training lessons assisting those people new to computers to more easily understand the new technology.
	LearningFast is a set of interactive self-paced computer tutorials designed to teach you skills in using computers and popular computer software. Through Learningfast, you can learn: basic computer, how to use and search the Internet, popular Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, other applications including MYOB and Lotus Notes. If you complete the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Skills Benchmark assessment and achieve over 80%, you will be entitled to an ICT Skills Benchmark Achievement Certificate. To login, use your library card number (without the 15/) and loganlib as the password.

	Lifelong Learning service is free, with no need for appointments, no registration, and is available at any computer, whether from home or public access. Lifelong Learning builds on the success of the library’s popular ‘yourtutor’ service for school and TAFE students, established eight years ago as a free and equal-access, after-school homework centre for families in the community.

	World Book Online Reference Centre offers encyclopedic content as well as computer and Web tutorials, government resources, e-books, and primary source documents.
	YourTutor connects students with expert tutors for live, one-to-one individual learning sessions using voice technology, chat interface, multiple whiteboards, advanced maths type tools, document sharing and browser control. 	Electric Library (Full Text) includes magazine titles from a wide range of subjects including business, education, general interest, health, language arts, sciences, social sciences, and many other curriculum-specific subject areas. Follow current events with more than 230 full-text national and international newspaper titles including the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, USA TODAY, Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post.
	Find Articles (Full Text) is an archive of published articles. It is frequently updated and contains articles dating back to 1998 from more than 500 magazines and journals.
	Hobbies & Crafts Reference Center is a full text EBSCO database designed primarily for use in public libraries. Includes a collection of articles covering over 140 topics as well as licensed periodicals, books and videos.

	Tumble Book Library is a collection of over 150 animated, talking books and related activities. All that is needed is a computer with an internet connection. Children may use the service by themselves or with a parent, caretaker, reading tutor or teacher. An entire classroom can even log onto the library’s website to read the same book at the same time. Teachers may project a TumbleBook and let the entire class enjoy a story together!
