International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is on 3 December each year. The theme in 2020 is Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 World.

Logan Libraries has equipment, services and resources for people living with a disability. We have designated computers with high contrast keyboards and large trackball mouses. Our libraries have disability parking, wheelchair access and accessible toilets. We also have wheeled walking aids within some libraries.

There is an Accessibility Centre at Logan North Library for young people and adults. If you or your loved one or client is living with disability, why not pop in? This centre may assist with overcoming barriers to learning.

A free home delivery service is also available. This service is for people who have a disability or illness and cannot travel to a library.

Play your part by reading biographies about lived experiences of disability. Why not browse through our diverse collections? We have Dyslexie-font books and nursery rhymes that include Auslan signs. Share stories about children with disability to develop awareness, confidence and social skills.
