Bookflix is a fantastic online literacy resource especially for young children and low-to-mid primary school age students as it introduces them to a world of knowledge and exploration. It builds a love of reading and learning by pairing classic fiction storybooks featuring music, narration and animation, with non fiction eBooks which teaches and reinforces their reading skills [eg: Curious George rides a bike is paired with the non-fiction book Monkeys and other Mammals]. It includes many fun but educational activities and puzzles such as word matching, sequencing and deciding if something is fact or fiction, as well as information about the Author and links to further explore the Internet. Bookflix can be used in the library or at home. |
