National youth week

National Youth Week: 10-18th April celebrates and recognises the value of all young people to their communities by giving them an opportunity to express their ideas and opinions. Logan Libraries celebrated NYW with a Photography Competition.

Over 100 entries were submitted across our 9 libraries. The winner was Christopher Bentley from Logan West Library with an entry titled ‘Industry’. He won a Sony DSCW350L digital camera. Second place winner from Greenbank was Charlene Quinn with a photo titled ‘ColourFILL’. She won an Olympus T100 digital camera.

‘Thank-you sooooo much for the camera it is sooo awesome!!! I have been using it all weekend and it is so much better than my old one- which will go to my little brother! lol I’ll definitely be entering again next year! Thankyou!’

Over 25 other prizes were handed out to participants across our 9 libraries and over 350 entries were also received in the Win-a-Book Competition.

Four winners in each of our 9 libraries won a popular Young Adult novel.
