Library History

Marsden Library is located in a purpose-built facility in an attractive parkland setting adjacent to the Marsden Park Shopping Centre. It opened on 25 September 2006 and serves a growing community of over 40,000 people in the suburbs of Marsden, Waterford West, Crestmead, Loganlea and Logan Reserve.  From 1992 - 2006, the library was located in the adjacent Shopping Centre.

In 2015, following receipt of a State Library of Queensland Vision 2017 grant, the children's area was re-developed into a state-of-the-art 'Sensory Space', providing equipment, resources and programs to stimulate and inspire children, with and without special needs, to explore and learn using their senses.
