The Gale Virtual Reference Library includes many different reference sources, encyclopaedias, almanacs, and other books covering a wide range of topics including the arts, biography, business, education, environment, history, law, literature, medicine, multicultural studies, religion, science, social science and technology.

This extensive collection of e-Books delivers reference information in a database format that is accessible 24 hours a day. Records display publication details, a list of the table of contents, index and illustrations. The user-friendly interface offers up-front print or e-mail options, along with a helpful how to cite feature.

Choice Online is a popular way to research independent product ratings and comparisons and is now available to members in all Logan Library library branches. Please ask one of our friendly staff for assistance in accessing this database when you next visit the library. Access over 200 tests and reports on food and health, whitegoods and home entertainment, everyday supermarket items and much more. New tests are added weekly

Standards Online Now Available

Australian Standards are now available to be viewed online and free of charge to library users.

 

Access over 7,700 national Australian Standards simply and easily from your local Logan City Council Library. Just visit your local library and ask our helpful staff to show you how to access the Standards database. You can view standards on any of our public access computers inside our library branches. (Printing of Standards is limited due to copyright restrictions).

 

Standards are used in almost every industry to define an optimum level of quality and safety for products and services. Ask our staff to assist you in searching for standards that apply to your industry.
