Topical Tea: Recycling, Worm Farming and Composting
23 November 2010On 9 November, Kayleena Fry from EnviroCom gave an enthusiastic presentation about composting and worm farming at our November Topical Tea at Logan Hyperdome Library.
Kayleena spoke about the benefits of composting, how to set up a compost bin and worm farm, what to put in and what leave out.
The attendees were appreciative of the useful handouts and informative answers to audience questions. One lucky attendee got to take home his very own worm farm!

Topical Tea at Logan Hyperdome

John McGahn from Centrelink presented an informative session on Understanding Property Investments to a group of fourteen at the Logan Hyperdome Library Topical Tea. Many people stayed to ask questions after the session to find out more about what it takes to invest in the property market. Congratulations to our lucky book prize winner Cecilia Lai who won the book titled “101 ways to survive 2009” by David Koch.
Topical Tea with Joseph Soda
23 September 2010| Joseph Soda from Sleep Disorders Australia spoke to a group of nineteen at our August Topical Tea at the Logan Hyperdome Library. Joseph spoke about the different disorders which affect peoples sleep on a nightly basis, disorders such as Sleep Apnea, Restless Legs Syndrome and Insomnia. He had many useful handouts for the attendees and there were lots of questions which Jospeh was willing and able to answer. | |

Author Visit: Dorothy Dart and The Katy Tree
27 April 2010Dorothy Dart was the latest author to come and speak to an enthusiastic crowd at the Logan Hyperdome Library. Everyone enjoyed hearing Dorothy speak about her latest book The Katy Tree, and were interested to hear about what it takes to be an author. Topical Tea @ the Hyperdome: Wills and Power of Attorney
27 April 2010The latest Topical Tea at Logan Hyperdome Library was on the subject of Wills and Power of Attorney. Close to 40 people attended to hear Shaune McPherson from The Public Trustee of Queensland speak about the factors people need to consider when making Wills and appointing a Power of Attorney. Shaune was able to answer the questions asked of him and took time at the end of his presentation to speak to people individually. It was a great success.
