All You Need to Know About Cake Decorating

An enthusiastic crowd attended the ‘Topical Tea – All you need to know about Cake Decorating’ event at Logan Hyperdome Library on Tuesday 13th October 2009. The event was presented by local cake maker Jackie Thompson of Contemporary Cakes. Many thanks to Jackie for presenting an engaging and informative demonstration in icing and decorating cakes. Congratulations to Ghowri Goodwin for winning the lucky door prize book entitled Making great cakes by Angela Nilsen.

The popular Aged Pension Information Session conducted by CentreLink’s John McGahan (Financial Information Officer) was well received by the large crowd that gathered at Logan Hyperdome Library on the 8th September 2009. The participants were introduced to a range of topics including concessions and superannuation. Tanya Small from Australian Hearing also made a guest appearance and discussed how Australian Hearing can help people manage their hearing impairment. The lucky door prize went to Lucy Stewart. Congratulations!!

The very popular author of the 4 ingredients cookbook, Kim McCosker, spoke to a booked out session at Logan Hyperdome Library on Wednesday August 12. She whipped up a few recipes which all who attended tried and enjoyed.

Kim is a very enthusiastic speaker and inspired everyone to go home and try some of their recipes. It is great to support a local Queensland author who has done well and we appreciated her giving up her time and information to the eager audience.

The Beginners Belly Dancing workshop was a huge success at Logan Hyperdome Library on Tuesday the 4th of August and all the participants had a great time and enjoyed the experience and exercise.

The workshop was conducted by local instructor and businesswoman Genah from Belly Dancers Palace. Genah has been teaching the young and mature in the art of bellydance for over ten years and took the participants through various steps including the hip drop and bellydance stance.

Jaydee Jespersen was the lucky winner of the door prize, Great Queensland women by Heather Grant.

Bollywood Comes to Logan

BOLLYWOOD AT JIMBOOMBA LIBRARY

Everyone had a great time at the Bollywood event hosted at Jimboomba and Logan Hyperdome Libraries recently. An hour of dress up dancing and games ensured fun for all. The event was hosted by Roushini.
