Experience the ultimate in ‘home theatre’ retro lounging – at your local library! With it’s unconventional shape, the DVD Modpod Chair provides both sound isolation and excellent acoustics. The chair’s chamber-like shape and upholstered interior cancels out most outside noise, providing an ideal environment for meditation, relaxation and just getting away from it all. Enjoy your favourite CD or watch a movie in surround sound, as the built-in speakers will create an immersive and fun listening experience for any music lover or movie buff.
Visit one of the following libraries to experience the DVD Modpod Chair:
- Beenleigh Library
- Jimboomba Library
- Logan Central Library
- Logan Hyperdome Library
- Logan North Library
- Logan West Library
- Marsden Library
If you like art, why not try a free clay animation workshop at Jimboomba Library these school holidays? Learn to make clever clay animations (like the popular Wallace and Gromit) with professional illustrator, cartoonist and artist Mark Guthrie.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday 1 July from 11.00am to 12.30pm, and is suitable for primary and high school aged children. Bookings are essential and can be made by contacting library staff on (07) 5540 5463. Don’t miss out – places are limited!
