Festive cake decorating workshop a success
18 December 2008
On Friday 28 November the Logan West Library held a Festive Cake Decorating workshop as a special event with help from the professionals from the Logan City Branch of the Cake Decorators Association of Queensland. All the participants learnt the basic hints and tips required to create a gingerbread house through a demonstration session – and then had loads of fun as they enthusiastically tried their skills out on making their own Christmas tree novelty cake.
Almost too good to eat – pictured left with the cake samples are Eli Richards and Marie Sidhom from the Cake Decorators Association.
Kids’ Fun Day at Logan North Library
8 October 2008Kids celebrated the opening of the new Logan North Library on Saturday 27 September with a healthy eating superhero show by Renata, face painting, balloon twisting, awesome apple slinkies and a cuddle from Vegie Man. The day was enjoyed by all, children left with big smiles and a goodie bag to take home. A big thank you to the wonderful children from Springwood Road State School who provided superhero help on the day and to everyone who came along to enjoy the event.
